Designing a city flag and would like some input

Postby KPostOffice » 19 May 2016 01:59

I recently took up designing flags, this is one of my first attempts and I was wondering how I can improve it. (other the alignment issues) Image

This is probably too late of a reply, but in case you're still looking for advice, I would seriously reconsider that shade of brown. It makes the whole thing look rather murky.

You also need to take care that the symbol is clearly visible, so I would either add a white border around the horse and the rifles or make the symbol small enough to fit it entirely in the white part of the flag.

And, for my personal taste, I wouldn't want the symbol to fill up the entire flag anyway - I would make it at least 30% smaller, probably. And I would move the crossed rifles closer together, or else make the barrels longer, because they look a bit unbalanced right now.
